Stop silent failures in your webhook-to-CRM pipeline.
A small, reproducible reference implementation for incoming orders and booking events. Demonstrates signature verification, customer isolation, deduplication, retry queues and dead-letter status. Source and tests are available below.
What the reference checks
01 · No spoofed events
Constant-time SHA-256 signature comparison against the raw request body, strict payload validation and maximum request size.
02 · No cross-client writes
Allowlisted restaurant identifiers and a tenant-scoped composite event key. CRM writes are intentionally not included in the prototype.
03 · No duplicate events
SQLite unique constraint ensures repeated deliveries receive a duplicate acknowledgment instead of creating a second queued event.
04 · Failures are inspectable
Atomic queue claims, bounded retry backoff and explicit dead-letter state after repeated failures. A real connector and recovery policy are separate.
One reproducible test
python3 verify.py
{"passed":206,"errors":0,"concurrency_requests":16,
"note":"Synthetic tests only; no Make/n8n client integration claimed"}
The reference uses a temporary local database and synthetic booking payloads. No customer data is read or sent. It is not production-hardened: a buyer deployment requires contract-specific authentication, observability, tenant onboarding, queue recovery and integration tests.
Start with a bounded paid outcome
Webhook failure audit
One described intake path, sanitized examples, failure matrix, reproducible test cases and a prioritized fix plan. No customer credentials required for the initial assessment.
Integration reliability pilot
Implement and validate one agreed webhook-to-destination flow. Final scope, acceptance gates, access needs, delivery date and payment terms are agreed before work.
For ongoing maintenance, retainer terms are offered only after a successful scoped pilot. No client results, safety certifications, compliance approvals, or recurring revenue are claimed for this reference demo.
